The camera takes great pictures. By no means would I consider myself a professional photographer, but with this camera, great shots come easy. It's as easy as point and shoot. I also have a DSC-W150 which I love. My one complaint is why did they go to a 4x optical zoom with this camera. My DSC-W150, which is an older model, at least has a 5x.
